Best Lift in the Industry Floatair Boat Lifts
By Jack Foster, Jr.
FloatAir Boatlifts
Local boatlift company, Floatair Boatlifts, was awarded “Best Lift in the Industry” and “Best Customer Service in the Lift Industry” and will be featured by national cable T.V. show, Pleasure Boaters on the Outdoor Channel. What’s unique about Floatair Boatlifts being selected by Pleasure Boaters? It’s because Floatair Boatlifts was started and still based right here in upstate, South Carolina. The show covers Floatair’s distinctive strong lift design, quality and craftsmanship. The cameras were also able to capture the manufacturing of steel parts in house, hand assembly of each lift, and Floatair’s pride in keeping its manufacturing facility in the U.S.A. You could see the pride in the faces of Jack Foster Sr. and Hayward Porter as Captain Ted, host of Pleasure Boaters, handed over the two trophies “Best Lift in the Industry” and “Best Customer Service in the Lift Industry” to them in their booth at the Atlanta Boat Show where they were filmed. Jack Foster who started Floatair stated, “I never believed 21 years ago in our first year in business when we only
sold one lift the entire year, that twenty years later we would be one of the leading innovators of the boatlift industry.” Hayward Porter who’s been with the company over ten years smiled as he received his award. Hayward calmly said, “We’re not the best lift because we have the strongest product, we’re the best lift because we love what we do, and that’s all there is to it.” Floatair originated in South Carolina and put their first lift in on Hartwell Lake. After 21 years, it has expanded throughout the US. The company is family owned and this family takes pride in their product, and pride in manufacturing in America. They plan to keep it this way for quality sake and also to keep their prices low so their customers remain happy and loyal. Jack Foster thanks Captain Ted and all of Floatair’s workers, dealers, and customers for making Floatair what it is today. Floatair plans to keep manufacturing near downtown Greenville, SC and offers an open invitation for anyone to come by and visit their manufacturing facility.
