ANDERSON COUNTY, SC — The Cancer Association of Anderson is proud to once again host the 2025 HOT AIR AFFAIR: RISING ABOVE CANCER on the Balloon Launch Field at the Civic Center of Anderson during this upcoming Labor Day Weekend!Once again, skies above Anderson County will be filled with beautiful hot air balloons. Mark your calendar for Labor Day Weekend, August 29th – September 1st! This signature event benefits local cancer patients through the Cancer Association of Anderson, the only LOCAL cancer charity in Anderson County.
Come join our Hot Air Affair sponsors: Blossman Gas & Appliance, Anderson County, The City of Anderson, AnMed, The People’s Bank, Thrivent, Craig Johnson, and many others as 40+ hot air balloons Rise Above the Skies of Anderson. Features include a kids-zone, music, and local entertainment during the day when the balloons are not flying as well as food, craft, and merchandise vendors!
Complete your Labor Day Weekend with the Hot Air Affair: Rising Above Cancer festivities and don’t miss Anderson County’s Celebrate Anderson on Sunday evening, complete with fireworks and music!
According to Cancer Association Director Angela Stringer, “We look forward to welcoming our family of balloon pilots to the skies over Anderson County every year! The opportunity to provide a FREE event that raises funds and awareness for our brave patients and survivors makes it even more exciting! Please come out and join us for a family-friendly weekend with hot air balloons, kids-zone, food trucks, vendors, and much, much more. We are also looking for community partners to help us keep this wonderful event FREE to the public. There are many ways to get involved and make an impact. Please know that your partnership will make a huge difference in Anderson County residents who are battling cancer while at the same time, helping CAA continue to grow a 8-year tradition – a family-friendly event that enriches our community.”
Organizers anticipate 30,000+ people during the three-day event again this year.

*Hot Air Balloon events are weather dependent. If the weather is not conducive to statics, glows, or flights, they will be called off. Hot Air Affair: Rising Above Cancer’s Balloonmeister and weather professional decisions are final.
