The Chickasaw community is invited to take part in one of the most anticipated outdoor events of the year, the 6th Annual Chickasaw Polar Plunge, hosted by the Chickasaw Men’s Club. Set against the scenic backdrop of Lake Hartwell, this lively fundraiser will take place at Chickasaw Beach & Pavilion at noon on Saturday, February 28, 2026, bringing together neighbors, friends, and families for a day of excitement, laughter, and community spirit. Live music featuring the local Peanut Butter Whiskey Band.
Known as “Chill & Thaw Chickasaw,” the Polar Plunge challenges participants to take a brisk dip into the icy waters of Lake Hartwell in support of meaningful neighborhood and community initiatives led by the Chickasaw Men’s Club. While the plunge itself lasts only moments, the impact of the event resonates long after, helping fund projects and causes that directly benefit the Chickasaw community.
Participation is simple and accessible. Each plunger is asked to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges from friends, family members, neighbors, or coworkers. In return for meeting this goal, participants receive entry into the plunge, a Polar Plunge t-shirt, lunch, and unlimited beverages including beer, soda, and water. Most importantly, participants earn the satisfaction of supporting local community efforts while enjoying a truly unforgettable experience.
Plungers are encouraged to embrace the fun by wearing costumes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. Prizes will be awarded for Best Individual Costume (Male and Female), Best Kids Costume, Best Group Costume, and Top Fundraiser. Whether you choose something creative, humorous, or bold, costumes help make the Polar Plunge a crowd favorite year after year.
Registration is required for all participants and must be completed by February 20, 2026th. Those interested are encouraged to reserve their spot early, as this event continues to grow in popularity each year.
Not quite ready to brave the cold? Spectators are more than welcome. There is no charge to attend and cheer on the plungers, making it a perfect event for families and friends. For those who wish to join in on the festivities, lunch will be available for $15 cash, featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, chips, and a selection of beverages. Children under the age of 10 eat free.
